Work Woes

This was last Friday,
my one day with
a slice of sanity in it.

I took Sadie to a local park
just to get out, get away,
to see something other than
the same 4 walls at home,
and the same 4 walls at work.

I work at a BigBox Store,
and this was our week to do
the dreaded Inventory.

Imagine counting $7M worth of
items on the sales floor
while customers are shopping
and trying to get it all counted
as accurately as possible.

The prep work involved is
incredibly detailed, and
yes, lucky me, my part in
all of it is ... intense.

As a result, I worked 5 days on,
and one day off, for three weeks,
with the final week working the
11-8pm shift.

I am a morning person.
Come 6pm, I was yawning over
my dinner, and trying to wish
the day to be over!

As always, I survived!
With not too much in the way
of battle scars.
I think I tore an inner core muscle
just under my right side ribs
where they took out my gall bladder
in October.

Needless to say, I am taking it
very easy for the weekend!

PS:  This little guy wasn't too happy
having his picture taken...
he glared at me .....
then flew off !

Flash

took an early morning walk
in a busy local park
the sun was just peeking
over the horizon .....

 ..... and i thought i should

be bold,

be daring,

so here's my

"flash in the park"

Boob Morning!

Panty Parade

Taking a walk

at the local park

is something I do

3-4 times a week.

Today, I stopped to

take a quick pic :)

And just a little

Panty Parade

silliness from

me to you....

Its funny, but

when your

body changes,

you don't realize

it because its in

small increments,

but I now fit

into panties

2 sizes smaller

than a year ago....

YaY!    *chuckles*

BaggyLook

Monday after work, I took Sadie
for a walk in the park and took this
impromptu picture - yes, I was on
the phone even! - and I'm embarrassed
now to realize that I can no longer wear
these pants in public, no matter how
comfortable they are!
Redefining the baggy look
isn't a fashion statement on me!
(Ugh!)

At the Park, pt2

Be still and listen

to the rustle of leaves

in the afternoon breeze.

Watch kids having fun

on a playground

as they romp without cares

come climb

the monkey bars

with me !

there is beauty here

in the Valley of the Sun

this isn't a pile of sand

as we're so inclined to

think when we hea

 the word 'desert'.

Superstition Mountain

bathed in afternoon sunlight

looks like a painting

of muted colors.

Cottonwood leaves

against a blue sky

and plenty of

wildlife if you're

patient enough

to watch for it.

At the Park

a day in the park

watching for storms

hoping for rain

Somewhat pensive .....

 and somewhat playful .....

 nothing like getting

back to nature

to feel grounded again .....

 When was the last time

you played at the park?

When was the last time you spent
a quiet moment just doing nothing --
just sitting and looking at the sea,
or watching the wind blowing the tree limbs,
or waves rippling on a pond,
a flickering candle or children playing in the park?
