Well I woke up this morning
stumbled out of my rack
I opened up the paper
to the page in the back
It only took a minute
for my finger to find
My daily dose of destiny,
under my sign
My eyes just about
popped out of my head
It said "the stars are stacked
against you girl, get back in bed"
I feel lucky, yeah
No Professor Doom gonna stand in my way
Mmmmm, I feel lucky today
Mary Chapin Carpenter sings this song about feelin' lucky -- it's pretty good.
But maybe you're a superstitious kind,
and Friday the 13th never feels like a lucky day!
I don't ever feel that way --
in fact today is my granddaughter's 11th birthday;
she was born on Friday the 13th too :)
Known scientifically as “Tridecaphobia,” fear of the number 13 is
probably the most common of all superstitions. Buildings avoid numbering
the 13th floor. Airplanes avoid the 13th aisle. And almost every North
American knows that Friday the 13th is considered a bad luck day.
What about you..... feelin' lucky today??
