My fingernails
are all dressed up
for the Holiday Season!

When my 'girls' were here
for the weekend,
my daughter spoiled me
with a manicure. 

In the winter,
I keep my nails short
for practical working reasons,
but I think they look nice
this way!

 I hope those of you in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.  Mine was very typical because of my work schedule, and untypical because my daughter and granddaughter visited for the weekend.  It was a very interesting weekend, with lots of time to talk, laugh and have some fun .... :)  Many thanks to all of you for the traffic here this weekend!

More purple

I admit it, I love to read "personality traits" when it comes to something like colors or stars.  I've read things from Astrology to Native American Mythology when it comes to describing personalities.  This one is "if purple is your favorite color..."

Purple Bra

I love purple, and there's just something about a fancy lacy bra to bring out the purple in all of us!  (I posted this whole picture, because I couldn't get a blur like this again if I tried! hehe)

On Thursday, this rainbow was directly in front of me as I headed for the library ... Rainbows are special; one should always stop and watch it, photograph it, ponder it a while.  For me, I tend to see them when I've made a decision that I'm having a few doubts about.  When I see a rainbow, I feel as if its a good decision.  Keep your eye out for the next rainbow!  ~Gal

Happy Feet!

Got my first pedicure today and it was very VERY nice!

There is nothing like crawling into an oversized chair, 
slipping your feet into hot bubbling water, 
and soaking your cares away.  
Or the feeling of big, strong hands giving your legs a hot rock massage.
Or rubbing lotion into your skin, somewhat soft and strong at the same time.
But for me, it was the hot towel he covered my toes with,
then proceeded to ... massage ... each ...  toe.
More please!

(and if you're thinking ahead to Christmas, 

pedi gift certificates are a wonderful gift 

for mom's, girlfriends, wives, and me!)

When I was about 8, one summer my family drove to visit relatives in Northern Minnesota in our 1963 Rambler (yes it was "that" typical green!) And this song came on the radio more times than I care to remember!  My sister and I sang it at the top of our lungs, windows rolled down, hot air blowing all around.  I remember singing it gustily as we drove slowly through some small town where kids were playing in the town square fountain.  They turned to look, and waved as we passed, and I remember thinking "boy, I wish I was in that fountain!"
