Archives (2)

I enjoy hiking around the local parks,
and when opportunity presents itself,
I may take a moment or two to enjoy the sun as it warms my skin.

lately my inspiration has been
on the low side, so this is from
my archives, taken last fall on a day trip.

Knickers

Every

woman

has a need

to feel

beautiful.

There is

something

about lace

that just makes

a woman

feel beautiful.
Lace knickers instantly makes a woman feel sexy—
somewhere between the territory
of naughty and nice,
it adds a little sensuality

Take off your clothes.

Pick up the soap.

Get in the tub.

Turn on the water and check on the temperature,

Curtain facade.

Pull on the knob.

Almost a
Jerry Lee Lewis
kind of pose
(for those of you
old enough
to remember!)

Music washes away from the soul
 the dust of everyday life.
~Berthold Auerbach

When words leave off, music begins.
~Heinrich Heine

"Music is one of the most sensuous ways in which Life flirts with us.  Enjoying music that makes us feel good, or feel better, is an important way to pamper ourselves." (Sarah Ban Breathnach)  But how do you keep the music playing?  There are all kinds of music in this world, and if you listen close, it may speak to you in ways you might never expect. I've always enjoyed all kinds of music, and thanks to Mr-CA, it's expanded even more.  Try listening to Tony Brucco's Blue Train here , or a selection from Beyond Missouri Skies here.  There are all kinds of things to keep a person busy in our world, but true pleasures come from the simple pleasures in Life, the little satisfying effects you never really anticipate, but always take great pleasure in.  Indulge yourself : that's how to keep the music playing.  ~Gal

Schokolade, pt 2

Nothing chocolate….

Nothing gained.

"Chocolate is a perfect food,

as wholesome as it is delicious,

a beneficent restorer of

exhausted power.

It is the best friend of those

engaged in literary pursuits."

- Baron Justus von Liebig

All you need is love.

But a little chocolate

now and then

doesn't hurt.

~Charles M. Schulz

In case you couldn't tell,
this was fun,
and adventurous!

Schokolade, pt 1

Happy Valentinstag!

I decided to have a little
Hershey's party.
And learned a few things.

“Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm…
......chocolate….”  ~ Homer Simpson

Nothing is
more romantic
than chocolate.
– Ted, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy

Here's what I learned:

first: hershey in a bottle... comes out cold.
second: use plastic drip cloth. it soaks thru sheets.
third:  have a clear path to the shower
fourth: have the shower hot and ready
fifth: once you start the pouring, you can't check camera settings
and last. its very very very sticky.

As a friend put it, "so basically not exactly all its cracked up to be..."

Bluesy

Lately, I have a penchant for blue.
Is that related to feelings?
or maybe its because
blue is a calming color,
a natural color.

a pretty girl who is naked
is worth a million statues

Art can never exist
without naked beauty displayed.
~William Blake

We know that more than
seventy to eighty percent
of women masturbate,
and ninety percent
of men masturbate,
and the rest lie.

Backgammon

Wanna Play with Me?
Backgammon is one of the oldest board games for two players.
Its history goes back approximately 5,000 years.
Although luck is involved and factors into the outcome,
strategy plays a more important role in the long run
Backgammon is a gambling game which requires both luck and skill.
Luck keeps the game interesting, but skillful play will always be rewarded.
~Paul Magriel
Life, like backgammon,
is constant decision-making
under uncertainty.
~Neil Kazaross

I enjoy a challenging game
of backgammon. Its a good
way to unwind, and keeps
hands busy, while leaving
opportunity to talk as well

Hands

“Where the spirit
does not work with the hand
there is no art”
~ Leonardo da Vinci

I have always noticed hands. It's one of the things I notice when I'm meeting a man for the first time.  Hands tell us so many things.  When we look at our fingers, we may think they are beautiful, ugly, refined, or stubby. We use them to eat, gesticulate, carry, point. Hands can do lots of different things.  They can offer comfort and affirmation or they can hit and hurt and slap. They can be held out in welcome or push people away.  They can hold gifts to brighten up someone’s life or stones to throw and hurt.  They can be used to urge people forward or to hold people back.

While looking at my hands today, I thought "Wow, they look old. I'm getting worn out." But when I see that in a man's hands, I find a deep respect, admiration and attraction (and a turn on as well)!  Happy Friday everyone!

Pinned

“This is my wish for you:
Comfort on difficult days,
smiles when sadness intrudes,
rainbows to follow the clouds,
laughter to kiss your lips,
sunsets to warm your heart,
hugs when spirits sag,
beauty for your eyes to see,
friendships to brighten your being,
faith so that you can believe,
confidence for when you doubt,
courage to know yourself,
patience to accept the truth,
Love to complete your life.”

Some weeks just seem to be
more difficult than others.
It was one of those weeks for me,
and for a very good friend as well.
(Next week will be better!  :)  ~Gal)

Too busy

Sometimes
the most important thing
in a whole day
is the rest we take
between two deep breaths.
~Etty Hillesum

This Gal's been pretty busy lately,
haven't even picked up my camera.
So I posted this quote as a reminder
that we all need to
take a break,
breathe deep,
and rest.

Dance

Dance first.

Think later.

It's the natural order.

~Samuel Beckett

Dance,
even if you have
nowhere
to do it
but your living room.
~Kurt Vonnegut

To dance

is to be out of yourself.

Larger,

more beautiful,

more powerful.

~Agnes De Mille

Morning

The stillness of the

early morning scene

enables me to take in

and enjoy many things

which pass me by

during the bustle of the day.

First, there are the scents,

which seem even more generous

with their offerings

than they are in the evening.

-  Rosemary Verey

“When you arise in the morning,

give thanks for the morning light,

for your life and strength.

Give thanks for your food,

and the joy of living.

If you see no reason for giving thanks,

the fault lies with yourself.”

  ~ Tecumseh Shawnee Chief

There was still frost on the rooftops

when i snuck outside for some early

morning sunlight shots.

Superbowl

Go GIANTS!
It's Superbowl Sunday!
The biggest televised event?  Could be :)
I'm not an die hard football fan, but I enjoy watching
a good game, especially if the score goes back and forth.
I consider myself a newbie Giants fan - thanks to Mr. NY who sent me this tee!

Chores

One of the questions that is naturally asked is "What are you doing?"
And more often than not, if i'm at home, at some point "chores" is
on the list for the day.  They're never at the top of the "fun things to do"
list, but I decided to make them fun, and snap a few pictures.

My first thought
when I saw these pix
was a take on the old
"Where's Waldo?" book....

Where's Gal?

For those who don't know, "Where's Waldo?" is a sucessful media franchise created by British illustrator Martin Handford. The series debuted in 1987 with the release of Where's Waldo?. The book introduced readers to Waldo, a distinctively dressed man, as he sets off on "a world-wide hike".

Where's Gal?

Where's Gal now?

(See? Sometimes chores like
making the bed can be fun!)

All About Blue

The phrase 'once in a blue moon'

means an event that occurs infrequently.

In the United States post office

mailboxes are typically blue.

Blue is seen as trustworthy,

dependable, and committed.

The phrase 'Feeling blue' means

to feel sad or unhappy.

Owls are the only birds

who can see the color blue.

8% of the world's population

have blue eyes (Mine are green)

Blueberries are the

favorite of blue foods.

Blue is the color most preferred by men.

 Blue is a primary color.

As the week progressed, this Gal went from ok to stressed
in the short space of a week.  Work is no fun when things
go awry, which is how they often do.  Keeping a chin
up and a good attitude isn't always easy.  Thanks to
good friends who listen and help me through the
rough spots. What's life without them? Blue!

Comfort Level

Are you comfortable naked???

I read an article today that asked this very question.
It described how a woman who is not comfortable with her nudity wanting to try an experiment, and when at a girlfriend's house, asked if she could undress.  Her friend was understanding, and gave her approval.  While the woman in question didn't get overly comfortable ... "I had wanted to walk around, but I found myself rooted behind the table and chairs. That's as comfortable as I could get.  But I did it."  (Article here)

If you follow my blog, you can see I've not been overly shy with sharing my photography, my nudity, as art.  (In front of live people, I'm sure I'd be more ... shy!)  But the point I found interesting was the reaction of her partner when she described what she did, and how he felt it was a breach of their intimacy.

Which makes me wonder:   If YOU were my partner, would you feel the same way?
