BaggyLook

Monday after work, I took Sadie
for a walk in the park and took this
impromptu picture - yes, I was on
the phone even! - and I'm embarrassed
now to realize that I can no longer wear
these pants in public, no matter how
comfortable they are!
Redefining the baggy look
isn't a fashion statement on me!
(Ugh!)

Peek

 All art requires courage.
~Anne Tucker

short post today...
a storm in the valley,
a project at work,
a turn at the gym,
too many of life's details
getting in the way ....
Thank you for slipping in
and taking a peek today!

Schokolade, pt 2

Nothing chocolate….

Nothing gained.

"Chocolate is a perfect food,

as wholesome as it is delicious,

a beneficent restorer of

exhausted power.

It is the best friend of those

engaged in literary pursuits."

- Baron Justus von Liebig

All you need is love.

But a little chocolate

now and then

doesn't hurt.

~Charles M. Schulz

In case you couldn't tell,
this was fun,
and adventurous!

Chores

One of the questions that is naturally asked is "What are you doing?"
And more often than not, if i'm at home, at some point "chores" is
on the list for the day.  They're never at the top of the "fun things to do"
list, but I decided to make them fun, and snap a few pictures.

My first thought
when I saw these pix
was a take on the old
"Where's Waldo?" book....

Where's Gal?

For those who don't know, "Where's Waldo?" is a sucessful media franchise created by British illustrator Martin Handford. The series debuted in 1987 with the release of Where's Waldo?. The book introduced readers to Waldo, a distinctively dressed man, as he sets off on "a world-wide hike".

Where's Gal?

Where's Gal now?

(See? Sometimes chores like
making the bed can be fun!)

Contrasts

Conrad Hall said "Contrast is what makes photography interesting." So I thought I'd work on my lighting and contrasts tonight.   I'm finding that my photography has a lot to do with my moods, and not so much with my technique.

find your own strengths,

your own uniqueness,

and be happy with who you are.  ~Gal

Frivolous!

Have you ever looked at something you wanted,

found yourself going back to look at it

over and over again,

knowing that it's calling out to you ?

Your practical side says :

you don't need that,

it's frivolous,

and just where would you wear it?

It was that way for me with this pair of shoes.

Don't they just make you smile, feel all happy?

Thanks to someone generous, I splurged!

Totally indulged myself on something

so very impractical.  Or are they?  heehee

(Now to find an outfit to go with them.....)

(Thank you very much!! You know who you are)
