New Outfit!

A smaller size is always a cause for celebration ---- and both for $20 !!!

Bookworm

The love of books has always been with me.

I love reading, and read all sorts of things;

typically female, I tend to go through phases

at times by genre: historical romance, mysteries,

thrillers, non-fiction, best sellers.   Or I may

get hooked on a writer and try to read everything

they've ever written.  I've been known to polish

off a book in one day (At my age, it makes my

eyes very tired, though!)  

Sometimes I tell myself I read to escape.

Other times, its just to be imbibed with

something other than my own life.  

Yes, I own a kindle (it can be a very 

handy tool!) but there's something 

about  holding a book, being able to 

turn the pages;  sometimes its the 

smell that I enjoy. 

Someone once said "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."  

For me, its more "When the going gets tough, grab a good book!"  :)

Weekends

Just a couple of quick snaps

its been a busy weekend for me

with a night hike in a regional park,

some time spent at a local museum,

and of course, time looking up at 

this spectacular "super moon".
