Just feeling a little .... off my game today.

An odd Monday - no work, and it's too hot to play.

I had my flu shot on Thursday, maybe I've been 

feeling a little bit of that over the past few days.

Definitely weird.

Do you ever feel that way too?

I never know what to do with it.

So it hides, gets pushed behind "the norm"

until it goes away.

Boots!

thank goodness the weekend was

Legs

I searched for a good quote

and came up short!

In a power of positive thinking

I gave up years ago yearning for

long slender legs like a dancer might have.

That's just not who I am.  Nor will I ever be!

And that's ok with me.  Now.

In this photo experiment, I was trying for

some kind of reflection in the water.

But when the concrete is 120+ degrees,

the water doesn't have a chance to stick around!

Life can be funny sometimes - not haha - 

although there are those moments too,

but a weird kind of funny.  

I took this photo and was thinking all 

Christmas-y, and yet here I am, 

these lights and string of beads all tangled up. 

And it seemed a metaphor for what life's become.

With so many things pushing at us, pulling at us,

needing this, wanting that, there doesn't seem to be

an end of the things that direct or demand our attention.

When we have too many things going on, 

life can feel like a tangled mess. 

Lately, I've been sorting things out, and declaring "war"

on the tangled mess of things around me.

Every day off, I've been minimizing my :::stuff:::

Let's face it, I'm not getting any younger, 

and life needs to be simpler now!

I am a not very ordinary woman.

I have quirks and foibles and 

yes, even obsessions.

One of them is hats. 

I like them, but I don't wear them often.

I'm not sure why, even though I have 

quite the collection of hats! 

Maybe because they make me feel 

dressed up.

In my mind's eye in the dark of last night,

an image sort of like this came to me.

However, it was with long, silky legs

and a hat perched so cleverly on my ass.

lol

SO not what appeared in the photo.

But then a 10-second self timer 

doesn't allow for much set-up in the

viewer.  If so, I might have moved 

the garden hose, and Sadie's ragged toy.

i feel like i've had a tough go of things

for the past month of so.

i was without my cell phone, as it was either

lost or stolen, and i wasn't sure which.

it seems as if every day there was something

to batter me down --

but i am a fighter

and *knock on wood* if feels as if things are

finally becoming better again :)

Three Years ago....
i began posting photos
to this blog.

Off and on i have
wondered ..... why?

Or maybe its not
really wondering
why
so much as
wondering if there
was a hidden purpose.

After all, there was
no gain for me
personally
doing these photos.

(Other than the obvious:
practice with my
photography skills.)

Rather, there are
moments when it
brought me things
i wasn't seeking at all.

but, i have made some
wonderful friends with
this blog,
and for that i wouldn't
un-do anything i've done.

If you're mathematical,
754 posts in 3 years
is an avg of 250/year.
Taking it further,
250 out of 365 days.......
ok, that's too much math
for a Tuesday night!

On that note, I'm going to
be taking a break from here,
not wanting to feel obligated
to making a post for a while.
