Star Gazing

I saw these pretty little lights

(on clearance for 75cents!)

and pulled them out today

as I was thinking

we all need to be reminded

to put life on pause

go outside in the dark and

look up

the stars are heavenly!

Be Strong

When you're hit with bad news all at once,

it can send a person reeling.  But I was reminded

the next day by an oldie but goodie on the radio:

"I get knocked down, but I get up again,

You're never gonna keep me down...."

After letting the news sink a bit, I came back to

my usual self.  I'm usually pretty level headed

and realistic about the circle of life,

how everything has a season.

Some day it will by the end of my season.

Until then, I'll just Be Strong!
