Heart of the Sole

Kermit the frog sings:

Happy feet, I've got those happy feet
Give them a low down beat
And they begin dancing
I've got those ten little tapping toes
And when they hear a tune
I can't control my dancing heels

To save my soul

Weary blues can't get into my shoes
Because my shoes refuse to ever grow weary
I keep cheerful on an earful of music sweet
'Cause I've got happ happ happy feet

and while that's sweet sentiment, how often do we actually think about our feet?
They take us everywhere, they support our every move, every choice.
They don't complain (much) when we stuff them into high heels.
They don't ask for much - a slather of lotion every now and then
(along with a toenail clipping once in a while as well)
We stand, skip, jump, wade, waddle, run and hop.
And yet we sometimes take them for granted!
Next time you're in the shower, bend over!
(no, no not for that -- this time hehehe)
and give your feet a little extra care today.
They'll thank you for it!

Love is the heart of the soul.
(or in this case, sole!)

  1. Cool perspective!
Amazing that we see so much of your body as well, and the chin and the hand, great photo!

    1. Sometimes changing angles makes the same pose look totally different! That's the fun of photos -- its never the same! Thanks Nadja :) HUGS
